About the event

Building a Safe and Strong Marriage

Building a Safe and Strong Marriage is a course created to help couples in nurturing and building their marriage. The course gives couples a chance to stop and focus on their marriage and how to make it better.

The course is designed by Keith & Sarah Condie, who now serve as directors of the Mental Health & Pastoral Care Institute. Keith was a former lecturer at Moore College and ran marriage courses for bible college students (including John & Yvonne).

The course is designed around videos which we will watch and participant workbook that we will work through as a couple. John & Yvonne will facilitate the day.

The five topics we will cover on the day are:

  1. God’s design for marriage

  2. What damages our connectedness in marriage?

  3. Building the positives – friendship and communication

  4. Building the positives - sex and spirituality

  5. Managing conflict gently

Date: Saturday 9th August

Time: 9:00am to 5.30pm

Venue: 650 Canterbury Road, Surrey Hills - Church Hall

Cost: $60/couple to cover the purchase of the workbooks and lunch

There is also an optional dinner (additional $25 per couple) together after the end of the course.  Please indicate your preference when you sign up for the course.

Note: Ticket price does not include booking fee $1

Registration closes 27th July 2025

There will be no child-minding. We believe this course is important enough for your marriage, and encourage you to organise baby-sitters. We find that having children in the same place will make it difficult for discussions.
