CRECHE & KIDS

BABIES & KIDS AGED 1-12 YRS

When: Sunday

Time:  10:15am - 11:45am

Come join us and connect with local families

Children are a very important part of our community at St Stephen's.  Just as Jesus welcomed children and said that the kingdom of God belongs to such as these (Matt 19:14), it is our desire that all children will come to Jesus and know His love for them. Our aim is to encourage and work alongside parents as they train and raise their children in the good news of Jesus.

We begin our Sunday service (10:15am) all together as a family, young and old all together.  We believe that it is important for the family to be welcomed together, sing together, hear God's Word read together and to worship together. However, we also believe that it is important to teach our children in an age-appropriate way, and so we have a kids talk during the service, after which, the children are welcome to join our Creche and Kids Church program in the church hall. The kids talk and kids lessons are aligned with the sermon series, so that families can discuss and reflect on the same passage and topics at home.

We seek to make our church a safe environment for children and maintain regular safe ministry training. All our teachers and helpers have completed Safe Church training and have a current Working With Children Check.

CRECHE

Babies (1 - 4 yrs)

Creche is our 1 - 4 years old children’s Sunday program. Creche has a Bible-based curriculum that teaches the littlest members of St Stephen's about God, His Son Jesus, His word, and His world.

What happens at Creche?

At creche, kids play, sing, dance, enjoy craft and Bible stories.

Creche is led by teachers and helpers from the congregation, but parents are also welcome to sit in with their children.

KIDS CHURCH

Kids (Prep - Grade 6)

Our Kids Church program is for Primary School aged children (ages 5-12). The program follows a Bible-based curriculum that aligns with the sermon series, so that parents can spend time with their children reflecting on what the church is learning together.

What happens at Kids Church?

Each Sunday, the kids read from the Bible, sing songs, play games, and split into small groups according to year level to learn more about Jesus.
