About the event
Parents Night: The Anxious Generation
Date: 21 February
Time: 7:00–8:30pm
Where: St Stephen’s Presbyterian Church
Raising children today comes with challenges that previous generations never faced. From smartphones to social media, the world our kids are growing up in is changing rapidly — and it can often feel overwhelming for parents.
Our staff team has been reading The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, a book that explores the rise of anxiety among young people and the significant impact of technology and culture on childhood and adolescence. We’ve found it incredibly helpful in understanding the pressures families are navigating today.
On this evening, John, Oli, Michelle, and Ian will share key insights from the research and help us think through how we, as Christians, can respond wisely and faithfully. Together we’ll consider how to equip both our children — and ourselves — to keep following Jesus with confidence and resilience.
Child minding will be provided.
If you’re planning to attend, or if you’re able to help care for children on the night (Safe Church training required), please let Ian know.
This will be a thoughtful and encouraging evening for anyone involved in raising or supporting children and young people.
